Street Fighter II HD Stuck in Sony QA
Wondering what’s happened to Street Fighter II HD Remix? The game that came out last year on Xbox Live and the Japanese and US PSN Stores? So were we. That’s why our spies had a word with Capcom Europe to find out what was going on.
Capcom UK advised us that the release was currently dependant on “Sony QA”, having been submitted twice before for release but winding up banjoed by SCEE due to “faults and other problems” that required the game to be “redone”.
Capcom plan to submit a further version “hopefully within three weeks” that they expect to pass QA, but they “can’t give any assurances as [we] thought the last one would pass”.
Rumours still abound that the game was delayed due to arriving in Europe just after Sony’s “no Trophies, no release” rule came into effect, so perhaps we’ll get a definitive, Trophy-ready version by February.
UPDATE: We name-checked the wrong person at Capcom UK so we’re sorry about that. If you promise to not sue we promise to not cancel our Street Fighter IV pre-orders.

ANOTHER UPDATE: A lot of sites are saying we completely made this up. That is not true. We did speak to Capcom UK and the above is what they said.
